A Thought Of Fathers

sometimes dads are tough.
he'll seem cold and callous.
he'll raise the bar
just as you're about to reach it.
it's not that he doesn't care,
but just the opposite.
fathers fear their children not
being ready for the world. and he knows
iron sharpens iron.
so he is willing to be
misunderstood in the
short term, in exchange
to show his love
for the long term
